Cignpost Community Team donates £1000 to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice

Reinforcing its commitment to be a responsible and empathetic part of local communities, The Belfast chapter of the Cignpost Community Team, the social initiatives wing of Cignpost Diagnostics, the leading health and diagnostics company, has made a £1000 donation to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice (NICH) in Belfast.

The donation will facilitate several hours of specialist care to over 370 infants, children, and young people living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. The NICH supports children and families through a range of services including end of life care, care at home, and supported short breaks in safe environments with specialist staff.

Nick Markham, Co-founder, Cignpost Diagnostics, said, “We are extremely pleased to lend our support towards helping NICH continue the fantastic work they are doing for the community. We at Cignpost are committed to fostering empathy and compassion in our community and this donation is a small way of giving back to society and to help NICH continue the provision of specialist medical care to vulnerable individuals.”

Mary McCall, Director of Commercial & Brand Development, Northern Ireland Hospice said, “We are delighted that Cignpost Diagnostics have made this generous donation to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. We are extremely grateful for their support which will go a long way to ensuring that we can continue to provide specialist palliative care to local babies, children, and teenagers. We are the only Children’s Hospice in Northern Ireland, and it is largely through the generosity and support of businesses like Cignpost Diagnostics that we are able to support parent and families who are caring for a child with a serious illness.”
